BRIDGE
The location from which a vessel is steered and its speed controlled. "Control Station" is really a more appropriate term for small craft.
Used loosely to refer to the navigating section of the vessel where the wheel house and chart room are located; erected structure amidships or aft or very rarely fore over the main deck of a ship to accommodate the wheelhouse.
Distance separating finger holes (as opposed to span, the distance between the thumb hole and middle finger hole).
